After founding WaveStar in 2001, Dan had himself removed from the board in order to persue a career in manhole photography throughout Asia. The works was well recieved and the critically acclaimed film “A-Holes” documents part of this journey and culminates in the publication of the now famous coffee table book of his photography.

Upon his return, ten years later, the board unanimously voted him back to the helm of WaveStar. “This is not going to be the WaveStar you remember” he announced amid his plans to “really shake things up this time” at the re-launch conference. “You’re going to see a number of changes and at least a few changes in the numbers”.
